SVTF Fall Into Vintage Rally
A perfect time to enjoy the Fall Leaf Season in the mountains. Cool mornings and warm afternoons are a welcome kick off to Fall. We are lucky enough to have secured the entire campground in this prime location, which is nearly impossible during leaf season.
The campground offers both full hookup sites (water, sewer and electric) or just water and electric. There are cabins and tent sites available as well. In 2017 they will add a new bath house!
We will have the entire campground held for us but it’s a small private campground so sites are limited. That means book early! If sites are gone, get on the wait list as we always have cancellations closer to the event!
Reservations can be made directly with the campground by calling Marla (828)765-2681 Please tell them you are with the Southern Vintage Trailer group to insure a spot. Website for more info is www.linvillefalls.com
POTLUCK – to be announced
THERE IS NO PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE OR TOUR at this event
Join us for our 2017 SVTF Halloween Spooktacular gathering. For years you’ve all wanted a Halloween event …and last years was a huge success. This one will be a blast and the campground is wonderful too!
We have held 33 campsites in under Southern Vintage Trailer Friends. The sites are 50 – 80, 83 & 87. We were unable to hold any “premium sites” but some of those sites may be available if you ask.
Gathering Coordinators: Randy & Vicki Allen
Contact the campground directly on their reservation line 1-800-250-8611 and tell them you are with SVTF (Southern Vintage Trailers) and let them know you want one of the “held” sites. Please note sites 52-59 and 87 are water, sewer, electric others are water and electric only
SITES WILL ONLY BE HELD THROUGH MAY 1st.
After May first they will be opened up to the general public.
There will be NO trailer tour or open house and no event fee for this gathering.
All sites have tables, grills, water, and electricity and are served by six bathhouses. Some sites have sewer connections. Ice and firewood may be purchased year-round.
Each site may contain no more than eight people. A campsite may contain only one camping unit (motor home, trailer, pop-up, pickup camper, lowed camper, etc.) This site may also contain one tent but no more than three tents.
HORSEBACK RIDING: The Fall Creek Falls Stables are located within the park and are privately leased. There are two miles of trail. Guided trail rides are scheduled hourly and last approximately 45 minutes. The stables are open daily mid-March until October 31 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT. Cost is $25 per person, cash Only. For more information call the stables at 423-881-5952.

Festival of Lights Gathering
As you know, the Festival of Lights Gathering is one of our most popular gatherings and sells out almost immediately. In the past few years it’s become increasingly difficult to work with James Island Campground. They are essentially not set up for groups of our size. If you participated in the fiasco that booking became last year you will understand the issue. Due to the situation last year and the feedback that was given from members of the group, SVTF will not be booking and holding a block of sites this year. As with most gatherings, each individual will book their own sites directly with the campground.
There is NO OPEN HOUSE / TOUR at this event
What’s better than a big turkey dinner on Thanksgiving? Enjoying it at the campground with great friends, that’s what!
Cane Creek Park in Waxhaw NC is holding 17 spots for our group. If the response is very good, they will open up more for us. They are only holding these spots until September 30th, and then they will be opened up to the general public.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
5pm Thursday – Thanksgiving Feast Potluck
12 noon Friday – Leftover Lunch
Book your sites by phone (online won’t work for “held” sites) When calling the campground to book your spot, you must tell them you are with SVTF or you won’t be near the rest of us. They have blocked off 17 sites that are grouped together – but only 6 have sewer – the others have water and electric.
There is no cable tv at the park.
You should ask for Deb Foy or David Paschal and must mention Southern Vintage Trailer Friends when you call.
You will get an e-mail back from the camp and then you will be asked to make payment.
